Ray Luxury Homes was founded by fifth generation Arizonan, William Ray, Jr. Bill’s experience in the construction industry began at an early age working with his grandfather who owned and managed one of the largest lumber companies in the Southwest, Ray Lumber.

Bill Ray is no ordinary custom home builder. His company, Ray Luxury Homes, has built a reputation throughout the Arcadia and Paradise Valley area by constructing numerous premiere luxury properties. His long background in the construction industry has given Bill the ability to envision how a completed project will grow from an initial idea. He has developed an innate talent to be able to step back and know how each client's home should come together, and he excels at managing different situations and personalities.

He started in the construction business 20 years ago from the ground up, working his way through college. This fifth-generation Arizona native went on to get a degree in business management and completed several construction certification courses. However, this talented builder definitely did not learn how to construct a luxury custom homes from reading a book. His long term, hands-on experience has served to groom Bill Ray for where he is now. His wife of 11 years, Judy Ray, describes him as "the hardest working person I've ever known. This is a man who learned each phase of building a home through experience; he didn't just inherit or skip steps to the top of his field."

Bill was first introduced to the very basics of quality construction as a young boy who spend time at Ray Lumber, which his grandfather began back in the 1940's. Growing up spending time at the family lumberyard gave a young Bill much pride in the role that his family business played in the development of Phoenix and the greater metropolitan valley. "I love what I'm doing," says Bill proudly. "Not many people can absolutely know they have found their calling, as I've been fortunate enough to do. It's just that nothing makes me happier than to complete a project and know my customer is happy with the end result. My customers, usually, are talented, savvy individuals with a passion for the project and pride of ownership; this motivates me to give them my personal best."

Bill gained an enormous amount of construction/project management experience during a lengthy stint working for valley giant Schuff Steel. Bill worked on some of this state's largest and most prestigious commercial projects such as Chase Field (formerly Bank One Ballpark), the University of PHoenix Stadium in Glendale for the Cardinal's football team, the Collier Center/Bank of America Building and the Mesa Arts Center. While in college and supporting himself rehabbing existing homes, Bill perfected the technique of navigating his way through the myriad channels of permits and inspections to keep on schedule and budget. "I can protect my customers ' best interest, since I have been on both sides of the coin, both as a contractor as well as an owner."

Ray Luxury Homes has grown into a great lineup over the years. "I grew up playing a lot of team sports," says Bill, and he now uses his quarterback and team captain experience in leading a great group of people he has assembled at Ray Luxury Homes.. "All my crews are high quality tradesmen, who excel in achieving the goal of a job well done. Bill's wife Judy concurs: "He has a gift for surrounding himself with talented people with high standards of producing quality."

Then there are those behind the scenes of a successful venture such as Ray Luxury Homes. "I have a great team member managing the office. Irene and I met upon the completion of a home, which she and her husband ended up buying. I was very impressed with her efficiency and positive attitude, so I asked her to come and work with me. Irene's handling of various details enables me to remain out in the field," says Bill. "Being on the job site is where my strength is; it empowers me to stay focused and exceed expectations. In addition, we have a great network of subcontractors who perform exceptionally. These relationships allow us to pass on the value to the end user."

Bill has accomplished his dream with the success he has found with Ray Luxury Homes by building a reputation for being sensitive to each customer's individual needs and delivering superb service.
